Well, it is cheap, but not near cheap enough considering the restored value and the cost of restoration. If it was a Studebaker, and a bit cheaper it would be worth it in parts value.

66 every thing is the same except the engine, also the lowest production year of the Avanti 11's not many 63-64's
I would trade my 67 for as an average car nice driver.

The stuff that is different is where a lot of the parts money is. The engine, engine accessories, shielding, carb and so on. The early cars are some of the best of the breed, but still expensive to restore.

66's had 327's not 350. So is that a misprint or has the engine been replaced?

There were fewer Avanti IIs for 1965, 1967 and 1969 than 1966.

Were there any 65s?
I've read where there wasn't.
Or was there just a few pilot cars from the N&A factory?

Anyone here ever own a 65?

According to John Hull's book on the Avanti, Avanti Motors built 56 cars in 1965. Now that doesn't account for how they were registered...as '65 or some could have been registered as '66 models. I think that's where discrepancies can't be corrected...cars produced vs. when they were sold vs. how they were registered in the various states.

There were 1965 models. The number is what hasn't been agreed to. I have seen/heard numbers from nine to 56.
