I am looking into purchasing a 51 Studebaker 2R5 Pickup, the guy has 2 of them for $2500.00 (cad). Both are in reasonable shape but will need the floor pans replaced, interior completely done and some normal body work, no major holes. They have all glass, all mecanical components are there . Both have flathead 6's in them not running.Would like to get one of them but am not sure of the going price on these trucks.

Any input would be much appreciated.

If the sheet metal is solid, that price is definitely not out of line.;) Good Luck.:)

I look at a price like this and ask myself, 'Is it an exceptional example of the model? Is it rust-free?'

Woody's right. The price isn't out of line at 1250.00 each. It's not much of a bargin either.;) Personally, I'd set the value of these trucks at around six to eight hundred each. The link identifys itself as Calgary Kijii. Is the location of the trucks out of the Calgary Canada area? If so, there's a fellow who constantly sells trucks like this on e-bay from Minnesota, and his prices are much better. You might be wise to look around a bit more if this seller won't take a more reasonable offer.

The trucks are here in Calgary. I am going to go over and take a look at them Sat. Thanx for the info on pricing, I was looking at the $700.00 - $800.00 range if the guy will move somewhat.

He might if in a bind, lot of that going around now days, just got rid of my hemi powered 53 for a real fair price to the buyer, a young fellow I have known most of his life, when he said he would like to get a "C" cab truck, I said I have just the truck for you, he fell in love when he say it, I said Taylor if you want this truck I would rather give it to you than sell it to anyone else, I know he will do the right thing with it, might even put a Studebaker back in it if so that is ok with me also, he know where to get them....Bob

Went over on Sat to take a look, the one os rusted both sides, floor is rotted out, no tail gate and needs side windows along with lots more. The one in the garage has a decent body but also will need the floors replaced. Got him down to $1500.00 firm for both, now I need to get him to sell just one.
