Gold tint on 53 hubcaps?

I have used the SP-233 VHT tint for a long time, and now it
seems to not be available any longer. Has anyone used anything
else that is close??[?]

I'm not a perfectionist in this area. I use the gold "chrome" type paint from the local hardware store. Its not for show, but it sure enhances the look. I've used that same paint on emblems on the car too. Looks great and lasts a long time.

Do you use a primer first? Is there one kind of paint that is better than another?
