  • Neat ol' models...

Four vintage model/toy Studes seen recently...

'51 Starlight, apparently parked on an airport ramp! This is a 1:25 windup promo model...seen sitting on a windowsill at CWH during this past weekend's Hamilton Chapter meeting. That's a Purolator cargo Boeing 727 off in the distance.

Left to right: '52 Starlight 1:25 remote-control toy; '59 Lark HT 1:24 dealer promo; '53 Starliner 1:25 friction toy (decked out many years ago as a "kustom"). These three are mine; found the Lark at York and the other two in an antique market near here last Saturday.

I love finding Studebaker toys that have been modified or customized years ago.
I have a 1953 promo that someone modified to look like a Hawk way back when.
    Thanks for sharing.

        Chris--

There were quite a few promo models at York...I'd bet you'll see some at SB during the May swap meet too. Cheap they aren't, but I had to have that '59 one at York, as it's a very close colour match for my fullscale '62...
