Around 1970 my dad brought home a Stude GT that was lent to him by a friend. When he asked me if I wanted to go for a ride I declined because it looked like any old Stude of the time, but then he added that it had a factory supercharged Avanti engine in it and THAT got my interest. Well that GT really hauled A$$, I can clearly remember the tach needle going through it's sweep real fast in all 4 gears. What a way to open a 10 year old's eyes in 1970...I can only imagine how fast these cars seemed when they came out in 57. Junior
