hood prop for 53 c coupe

Can someone tell me the correct length for a hood prop for a 53 coupe the one I have is 33 inches long the prop fits in the lock position in front of the radiator but at 33 inches does not hold the hood up very high. not quite high enouigh to be comfortable working on the engine. I could make it longer by adding a piece but would prefer the correct one..Thank You 53 stude mod..joedipipi@msn.com

The prop rod on my '53 coupe is 38 inches long. That 5 inches would make a considerable difference.

I just received one from Stude Int'l for my 55K. Plenty long enough and not expensive. Good luck with your coupe!

37" as the crow flies, 38" along the trace.
Still not enough to not occasionally need a helmet.[)]
