  • I don't know what came over me

I was gearing myself up to have the Hawk soda blasted and primered when all of a sudden I'm on CL looking at this here truck.

Yes it's a 20 footer(looked like PO painted it with a wagner paint gun), but underneath not a spot on rust anywhere that I could see. It will be next to Hawk next weekend Comes with spare engine and hood. Looks like the Hawk is gonna have to wait a little while longer

It is contagious and spreading fast! [:0]

My son Mike just bought a rolling chassis and Engine 1928 Dictator with wood wheels and the first year mechanical 4 wheel internal drum brakes!

What was he thinking? Time will tell! [B)] Maybe a '28 body will fall out of a UPS Cargo plane onto it! [:0]

I did tell you guys before right? Any Studebaker older than 1954 makes me RUN the other way and look for a good Ford to buy!

Nice truck! Looks like you got a good one there.

Rich, glad to hear he saved that! I wanted to myself; but I have no where to put the thing long term.

BTDT last month.I didn't need another Studebaker either and bought a 59 truck off craigs list. I know the illness all too well. Congrats on the M, looks real solid. Guy always needs a truck.

Truck only driven 200 miles in last 11 years, so the brakes arn't road worthy and I hadn't brought it home yet. But I promise more pics as soon as I get it home.

I think there must've been a farm here in Whatcom County, Washington that grew 'M' Series trucks back in the day. I have managed to find no less then six (or is it eight?) of them since I moved up here!!! BIG trucks most of them, but M's none the less.

All are within about 15 miles of my 'home' in Ferndale, WA.
I can hardly wait to see what I find as I venture farther out!!!

so many farms -n- barns, so little time... [:0]

You are rigth studedave. Washington State seems to be full of M series. Just go inland a little further to central Washington. There seems to be an M15 or M20 on every farm out there[]
