  • Body tag "5H-D5"

    I recently purchased a '54 Constoga.
    The body tag reads: 5H-D5
    174

    I have a '53-'58 Body Parts Catalog but I can't find
    "D5". It only lists a "D3".

I'm thinking it's decked out like a Regal but how do I
    find out for sure?

    Am I missing something here?

    Thanks if you can help,

    5H-D5 is a 1954 Regal Conestoga wagon.

There were a total of 11,774 wagons of all types made for 1954. I do not have the breakout here. I would guess that the appropriate Fred K. Fox feature article would have the information.

Never noticed that omission in the '53-58 book before. D5 model is shown for some trim items in the station wagon section of the book though. D5 was replaced by the wrap-around windshield D6 during the model year.

That would be for the 1955 model year, not for the 1954 model year that we are talking about.

I really wish I could, but this old man DOESN'T KNOW HOW !

I've wanted one for 3 decades and finally got one.
It's even the color I wanted.
It looks just like the two-tone blue Ambulet in a recent Turning Wheels, except mine needs restored.
