1987 Avanti master cylinder

I know that my 87 Avanti was built from a Monte Carlo. I assumed that the master cylinder would be the same as an 1987 Monte Carlo master cylinder. It is not. Does anyone know the part number or the year and model of the car that the master cylinder is from? The car is in the shop, and I told the mechanic I would try to get the information.

Go to www.napaonline.com and look up a master cylinder for the Monte Carlo. They usually have photos...see if it matches what your car has. I would think so, but you never know what Avanti Motors did sometimes. If it doesn't match, I believe the best person to ask is Dan Booth at Nostalgic Motors.
