I believe that is the 4x4 I sold to George Orphanidys of Newport News Virginia a few years ago,if so, it is #8 of 23 of that model built in 1958,numbers matching 259,all the sheet metal except the basic cab was NOS,those were the days when you could just about assemble a complete pick up with NOS parts available from Newman Altman. I've owned a number of Stude over the years, that's the only one I regret selling. VAG88 StAlbert Alberta Canada

Yep, I think I have drooled over that truck in person. Love it a lot. Thanks for the post.

I haven't drooled over it in person, but found it and downloaded that pic. I drooled in private, it's awesome.

Well, I have drooled over this 4X4 in person, the first time at the Yorktown meet in 2006 when I took this photo. Don't remember how it got out into circulation, but the truck as great as the photo shows. The owner, George Orphanidys is seen behind the spare tire. He is a member of the Greater Virginia Chapter-SDC.

The truck is not 100% authenic, but comes darn close. It makes the heart flutter when one meets it the first time.
