  • Stock WCFB jetting question?

I did a search but couldn't find jet sizes. I just put a new to me 62 289 with a WCFB in my daughters 64 Cruiser. It puts out some black smoke when the secondaries come on. What size jets should be in the secondaries stock. I pulled the top off the carb from the old engine and it has 159 primary with 75-1141 metering rods & 196 in the secondaries. Daughter is out driving so I haven't had a chance to check jets & rods on the 62 carb.

    Thanks,
    Gordon

The numbers you found in the 'old' carb are all standard to 1955-56.
In the '62 carb you can expect to find 159 primary jets, 75-1345 rods, and 120-176 secondaries.

Thanks for the help. Looks like a good after work project. Got some info to work with now. Daughter has been driving the new to me engine for a little over a week. I'll pull the plugs to see what color they are.
