    The Hawk column is longer.

If you tried to use the steering gear complete, it would be a completely different gear box, and of course too long and wrong angle.

The four speed bell with no shift lever, however will fit. [^]

John, not sure but is worth investigating. I think a Champ truck column or maybe the jacket will work in the Lark. How's the 62 running?

          Hey Nels

Thanks I was wondering about champs with floorshift trans. The 62 runs very well I have an oil leak to fix on top of the motor somewhere, I think at the dist. Also what is the hose that goes from the oil Pan supposed to go to mine is just the metal tube but no hose.

John - six or V-8? My '62 V-8 has no hose from oil pan to anyplace.

Hose goes from top of metal tube to back of carb.

It's on an R2 I since was looking at the engine bay on Brandons R2 on eBay and it shows me it goes to the chrome air cleaner.

                  John,
As I understand it, that is a JT engine oil pan and that oil pan port goes to the R1 air cleaner side port. Not sure on an R2. I haven't been that lucky to own one yet.
