  • Throw out bearing question

Is there a source to buy the plate that goes between the throw out bearing and the clutch fork? They seem to only come with a new bearing; my bearing is in good shape, but the plate has worn spots where the fork contacts it.
The part #is: 1548810. None of the older auto parts or bearing shops have anything like it.
    Thanks for any info...

Bruce - If you can get a small piece of stainless, you could trace the old one and cut a new one.
As I recall, it is a flat piece, right? I'd bet more than one on the forum might have a spare to sell.

I got the 1548810 plate from Studebaker International about three weeks ago for $5.00. It's not listed in their catalog as a separate item because it is normally included with the 1550534 release bearing, but I asked for the plate and they sold one to me.
