  • Part # ???

My shift collar on the 56 Parkview is real loose. And I found one N.O.S. The only number I could find is 1549150 Before I go taking everything apart. I would like to know if it will fit. I know an old feller who has a 8X10 building full of Studebaker parts. And most are new. He won't sell all but will sell a piece at a time

Well if you have Flight-O-Matic Trans. it's 534093P.
If it's a Std. Trans. it's # 534092P replaced by 1549227 which shows in SASCO's on line part number listing as replaced by 1550901P Support for $33.40.
The 1549150 is not a good number, it would be a '59-'60 first used number, except it was never used in the '59-'64 Chassis book.

I have an NOS 1550902P here, but don't have a parts book here to tell me what the difference is or what it fits. I would sell it for $25 plus $12 S&H in the US.

Thanks for the info I'll check if he has one if not I'll get one at Omaha. By the way it is a standard. The PO put a pull switch on the gear shift to ingage the OD. I'm not going to do a total restore for a year or so but would like to keep it runing and limbered up till then

Gary/ST2DE5, it's a "type C" with the raised "D" on the outside of the lever hole and rquires a 1555283 or 284 lever for note 2 type support for '60-'64 models with Automatic Trans. With all the right matching parts MAY work on earlier models.
