What fabulous craftsmanship[8D] I keep picturing that color on a 62 Daytona 2dr. HT, but when I start seriously considering it I always chicken out.

Wow! What a beautiful contrast of chrome and orange. I love that color.

Love the truck, but just not a fan of the big wheels.

                  Bob A--

Aww, why'd you have to go and make me picture a souped-up Betty in metallic orange with huge dubs?

I know what to do: build a model of it. Now to find a JoHan '62 HT...

                  Love the truck!!

Steve, I can help with the wheels:

Now you can just save, enlarge, and color it and we'll have an idea of what it looks like

I frequently like dubs, but I'm not sure if I like 'em on a Lark Anyone got the skills to photoshop this concept?[]

BTW, the above car is currently for sale on CL in San Jose. Seller calls it a '61

Wow. Needs to be lowered, though, like the 2R at the top of the thread...the Daytona's tall stance, the dark grey bodywork, and those gigantic shiny wheels make me think faintly of a steam locomotive...! Still, I think I'd thoroughly enjoy tooling round in this '62. (Too, it reminds me of one local SDCer's idea for how to soup-up my own '62, by transplanting in a BMW M5 powertrain and suspension. I may try to model that idea someday too as the "Studebimmer"...)

Steve, I had similar thoughts; but I doubt there's much room for lowering with those wheels. I'm tempted to ask the owner for some better pictures...
