  • Happy Birthday Studebaker !

On this day, February 16, 1852, 155 years ago, Henry and Clem Studebaker, with a capital of $68.00, and two sets of blacksmith tools, started their business.

This card was printed in 1912, but has the wrong begining date on it, according to the experts.

It may be harder to do, but a new business can still be started here with $68.00 and a set of tools. What a country!!!

            Happy Birthday, Studebaker

It was also on this date - in 1945 - that my dear ol' Mom set me free from her womb. I'll bet the bill for my delivery was less than $68 bucks![:0][:I]
