  • What's is worth? 53 Coupe pitted pot metal

I have admitted to myself, I will probably never be
able to build my 53 back original. So, it's going to
have to be stainless for the Regal trim. I just removed,
today, the pot metal. The set is complete, not broken or
cracked, and no tabs missing. But has a lot of pitts,
which appears to not be too deep. What's it worth?

Getting that set show quality will probably run $700-$1000 today; no doubt more tomorrow.
What it's worth as is? Not much but, not land fill material.
EBay it with $20 start and no reserve or give to someone who can't afford the $20.

Tex,good choice to go with the stainless, I would trade my pot metal trim in a heartbeat for stainless. I've been told that stainless was only put on 55's and no other years, but don't know if that's accurate. Do you know? Thanks, Junior
