Is that Goldie Lock and her Golden Hawk? Richard, I must admit that I did not know that people collected those things. Do you have a "pair" of those in your attic also?

From this view it looks like my Speedster with a different grille and obviously a better hood ornament. Thanks for the post Richard.

Those were the days when you could sit on a hood without bending it.

I wonder if she could pull her shoulders back any farther? I hope her heels did not scratch the air deflector.

I would guess by now her shoulders are all the way back and then some.

According to the Internet Movie Database...

She had what must have been one of the best nicknames ever...
"Queen of the B Movie Bad Girls".

She married a real estate tycoon and retired, but she died of a heart attack just before her 45th birthday. Sad.

Slightly off topic but speaking of Hollywood blonds...
there is a great period sports car race in Mamie Van Doren's "Girls Town" from 1959. She plays a bad girl sent to a reform school run by nuns (who drive an Edsel wagon...really) and she's chased by a lothario played by Mel Torme. Also, good boy Paul Anka tries to help another girl with mental issues.
                        Unintentionally hilarious...
