  • Delco "window" distributor tube

The Prestolite DP on my 63 Avanti has been replaced with a Delco "window" distributor. This is a very common distributor but I've never sen one with a tube, dia 5/16th and with a small lid on top of it. It's for lubricating but I fear that it's easy to pour too much and ruin the distributor. What would you recommend as oil and quantity?

I don't think it is very likely to get into the distributor, the oiler only lubes the case to shaft bushing in the bottom, and has a wick to slow the process, so even 4 or 5 drops won't hurt anything. [^]
