Floor shifter

Would a 3-spd floor shifter be the same for the six or V-8 transmission?It's on a 1963 Lark six now. Thanks, Dave

I doubt it will work just straight across. The tranny in the six should have a 4 bolt top cover and the V8 a six bolt. The bolts that hold the bracket to the back of trans. are farther apart. The least you would have to do is change that bracket.
