That is one beautiful Golden Hawk! [] I don't usually like Black cars, but this one has just enough Gold on the Fins, Roof and Hood Louvers to set it off nicely! [^]

I would guess that the useless console box without A/C or Stereo, may have something to do with clearance for the Chevy Eng. Bellhousing and Trans.

I does seen strange though that someone would put that nice paint on before filling the Packard nameplate holes, as it is just silly to have Studebaker on the fenders & Packard on the trunk!
It also has a '55 Speedster Speedometer.

Even though this would be a great driving car, it does just seem wrong to not have a Supercharged Stude. 289 in a Golden Hawk.

Then there is the loose left 1/4 window Moulding and all that pitted chrome, and you can bet the reserve is going to be very high! [xx(]

Not the first Hawk I've seen with a Packard Hawk trunklid.

Or do you mean a '53-'55 decklid? Most modified ones actually are!

I said Packard Hawk, and I meant Packard Hawk - with the faux wheel housing on the trunk and Packard badging.
