  • Radical Studebaker Custom - who knows?

OK, folks - pix of a cool Studebaker custom were posted on the HAMB tonight. It appears to be a '35 Studebaker with a '47-'51 Starlight Coupe window molded into the roof. What does anyone know about this? Let's help the new owner with his research - he loves old cars and likes to keep them "true"...

    Here's the link - enjoy!

The left front wheel looks to be from a 1992-1996 Ford F-150 pickup. [8D]

Cool Stude custom is an understatement...this one works for me. Let's hope someone has some history on this baby!

Interesting mix of pre-war and post-war sheetmetal the guy has found.
Bet the history is interesting, too.

I really think this thing has possibilities. How about a rodded Commander Six instead of what is in it now? I think that would be really cool.

                      Neat!
It reminds me of a pre-war French custom body like you'd find on a Delage, Delahaye or Voisin.

The front end styling doesn't seem to match the back end styling. I think that just adds more intrigue to the car. I would love to see that finished. It will definitely be the hit of many car shows.

Folks - you need to check the HAMB thread about halfway down page 5.
Someone posted some drawings with "improvements" to the bodywork to make the elements more cohesive and attractive - it's much better looking, and completely doable.
I suspect if this drove into a Stude meet there would be jaws dropping everywhere.
                              It's delectable.
