Who will be the first to sport and show off they're new SDC logo credit card[?]

http://www.studebakerdriversclub.com/index.asp (Lower right hand corner.)
I read that for every purchase and account opened a contribution will be made to the club.
Every little bit helps.

Too bad it's from bank of A-holes, whom I will never do business with!

I had a SDC MC card from this same bank 15-20 years ago. Yep, avoid these crooks from this bank.[}:)]

Yeah, I was a bit worried when BoA and MBNA merged, having been bitten by MBNA in the past. I was even more worried when BoA bought my mortgage, but so far, no problems (knock on wood...)

Of course, having been screwed by MBNA, I religiously check my accounts online several times a month to make sure that there's nothing hinky going on and that they're not pulling that moving statement date thing on me again... (yeah, that was years ago, but I have a long memory and hate losing money and getting nothing for it)

Not to mention the percentage of Chinese ownership of B of A.

Actually heard on NPR the other morning that there is a movement here in the US asking people to pull their banking business out of the big four or five banks in the country (BoA, Citi, WF) and start doing their banking with a local organization.

They explained that the majority of those smaller organizations have not made the kind of risky decisions in the recent past that got our economy where it is today.

I like the idea of a SDC sponsorship credit card, but I just don't need another. As to BoA I have been with them for 20 years after they bought out the savings and loan I did business with in Texas and after moving to Oklahoma 10 years ago I stayed with them. I have not had a single problem once.

As to their big money woes I think they started when they started acquiring Merrill Lynch and after the market tumbled the federal government forced them to go ahead with this merger even though they wanted to pull out. BoA has repaid all $45 million in TARP funds back to the Government. As to Chinese ownership, I've never heard that before, but then the Chinese own the biggest portion of the entire US debt so in a since they own our country.

If thinks ever do go bad with my relationship with them I will probably switch to the credit union I do business with as well.
