I trust you meant Gary Lindstrom because without a job and about 10 Studebakers to sell I am not a candidate to purchase it...

I wonder if the powertrain has been replaced with one from a Corvette or he just calls it a Corvette powertrain because it has a Chevrolet 350 cubic inch engine.

At this point, I am mildly looking for a 1997-2007.

Actually, the Corvette power train doesn't apply after they went from the 350 to the 400 in the early '70s. Any factory installed 350 or 305 after that wasn't a Vette engine, but a full-size sedan or station wagon (400), or Camaro 350 or 305. Just another myth that's hard to kill. The 400 was never a factory Corvette engine.

There's a 2002 Avanti for sale on Ebay right now if you haven't seen it.

It's number 14 in production sequence...my '02 is number 20 and I can see some slight differences as all were little more than prototypes.

You know about assumptions <G>.
No, I was not aware of this one on eBay that you two guys graciously pointed out. I have been staying clear of eBay lately. That saves me a lot of time and money <G>. I have only been looking at cars on eBay when someone points one out to me. That is one reason that I appreciate it when John/JDP and others post cars for sale, either privately or on eBay.

My membership in AOAI has come and gone as I have owned Avantis over the years. I will admit that I am not currently a member.
