I bought this about a year ago and haven't done anything with it. came out of a 64 GT Hawk. Unknown condition, but clean under the valve covers. Comes with all accessories shown including Hurst shifter, but no carb. Prefer local pick up or can deliver in the Seattle area. $500

Could be worse; I'm in the area, but don't have 500 bucks to spend on it right now. Otherwise, I'd be ALL over it! Ya see, I'm planning out a engine build (one of 2 actually, already got one engine.), and this is just what I need for it! Arrggghh!!!![}]

Good luck with your sale! I'd be surprised if it doesn't sell quicker than most.

Could you tell us the Engine Serial Number please?

You will find your Engine Serial Number on the Driver's side front corner of the Block, TOP of the block, on a machined flat pad and are STAMPED into the block.
The raised numbers on the Right side are all the same for each major engine block change as they are part of the casting, those are just the Casting Number.

This usually requires CLEANING the pad to read the stampings. [^]

Since I am going to be his the area with a truck tomorrow, I thought I might as well pick it up.

The engine is going straight to the machine shop for a tear-down and look-see. Wish me luck. If all the iron and steel parts are usable, it is a good buy. I've also bought core engines where literally nothing was usable.

I think you did fine, Jack. The 4 speed set up is worth what he was asking. If the intake is one for a AFB, that's gravy even if the block is junk (which I would doubt). Good deal!

I agree, the 4 speed is worth the price. There was another Washington member last year that told me the whole combo was only worth $100. CASO maybe?
