I am restoring a 51 C-Cab and need a speedometer. The one I need is a (A type). But noone seems to have them. Can someone tell me the difference in the A and B type or how to get or make one?

Thanks for all your help,

I think I have one, but it will be tomorrow before I can get to my parts stash and check.

That sounds like a plan to me

Studebaker changed the design of the instrument cluster midway through the 2R series of trucks. In other words, either you have a type A or a type B instrument cluster. According to the parts book, none of the individual gauges and almost none of the other cluster parts will interchange.
