You know, that must be a Pacific NW thing... I heard many old time Stude guys (on both sides of the border) refer to "Lowboy" coupes and hardtops (meaning 53/54 C/K) a long time ago when I first got involved with Stude's. ;)[8)]

Not just a NW thing. I used to hear that a lot on the East Coast. I don't know whether it was derived from Loewy's name or to separate the coupes/hardtops from the sedans or something else.

I had heard the term "Lowboy" and used it to describe C/K models for 30 plus years. Long before I even knew who Lowey was??
