Those two look like first place engine bays to me. [8D][8D][8D] They look even better in person. I have a shot of my Edelbrock set up, but I doubt that you want that.

This shows an R1 '63 Hawk from the left side you need with all of the linkage, return springs, fuel line but a non-R Series just would not have the special filter with the return to tank line.

Sorry it is not without Air Cleaner and closer/larger, and has too much light but that's the best AFB shot I can find.

If you have the Throttle bellcrank used on older cars with TWO holes for the Carb. stretch rod, always use the one farthest from the pivot point, forward and inboard of the first hole!

Also on the new Edelbrock Carter AFB Clone, you use the LARGE hole in the throttle lever on the Carb. and bush (or washer) it to center the Throttle rod swivel in the hole, DO NOT be tempted to just drop it in the small hole that it actually fits! :(

If you have a Studebaker Automatic Transmission, you will need to re-adjust the throttle bellcrank stop screw, carb rod length and Throttle Pressure rod near the Trans. for proper shifting using an oil pressure gauge, as outlined in the Shop manual.

Looks like Shane has it taken care of. If you want similar pics from a 289 4V powered 1963 Daytona Wagonaire with automatic, let me know. :)

Not a Lark or Hawk, and you cant see the carb. connections, but I thought I would take this opportunity to show what a Stude engine should look like.:):):):D:D:D:D[:p][:p][:p][:p][}:)][}:)][}:)][}:)]
This little lady was named Stella. I mistakenly sold her a few years ago. The only car I have ever sold that I truly regretted selling.

Might that be the infamous R5 engine?

Oh, and for anyone interested in Flo (Stephanie Courtney), she is married (crap!) and is a senior member of the Groundlings improvisational theater in Los Angeles, CA. Many popular comedians from the Groundlings have become regulars on Saturday Night Live, Mad TV and even Pee Wee Herman himself was once a Groundling.
