Members of the Midway Chapter manned a booth at the recent Sunflower Swap Meet in Wichita, KS.
We had a good time greeting members from Ozark Trails, Kaw Valley, Heart of America, and Northeast Oklahoma Chapters as they dropped by for a chat.
We also signed up several new chapter members, and a few for the SDC.
I think we gave away about 80 Turning Wheels, and other SDC literature.
Thanks to all who came by - it was a fun two days!

Chris,

Someone post pictures please .... sounds like you had a great meet. When my Avanti is done this summer, I'll plan on coming next year.

I think Malcom Gillette might have taken 2 pictures of the booth when we had 5 or so members present. AFAIK, no one took pix of the parts or cars being offered.

There were no Studebakers offered in the car barn this year, and darn few Studebaker parts.

We had a fellow drop by with an NOS rear window for '61 to '64 Lark convertibles in the factory wrapping and box if anyone is interested. I kept his contact info for future reference.

Hi All, Sorry about not posting them sooner. Took about 3 pics, the first one wasn't any good, someone put their hat in front of their face. And the second one didn't have everyone in it. So I used the panorama option and combined two pics and come up with this.

Gee - I wonder who ruined your pic?
Could it have been.... the Devil?

Thanks for the pic!

A Kaw Valley member passed away quite a few years back (can't remember his name), who had a large Studebaker collection. Was your Avanti silver?

I had a lot of fun for the few minutes I stopped by the Studebaker booth on Saturday. Which reminds me, I still need to join the club...
