Hello, Anybody have a good process in repairing dents and scratches on chrome molding? What tools are used to repair molding?

not sure of chrome molding.talked with a guy who does stainless molding repair. said he used a wooden block. i assumed it was custom to each piece. i.e shaped to fit -
