Does your truck drive normally? When you let off the gas in second, does the truck slow down quickly? If so, and the knob to the left of the steering wheel is pulled out, everything is as it should be. When the knob is pulled out, the O'drive unit is disengaged. With the knob pushed in O'drive will be, not engaged, but permitted. Below 25 or so, there will be no engine braking, the car will coast without the clutch being engaged. once you pass 30 or so, accelerating, letl up on the gas for a second, you will feel a cluck (if its working properly) and you will have engaged overdrive, lower gear in drive and engine braking when not accelerating. As you slow down, the speed decreases below 25 or so, overdrive will disengage and you will again be free wheeling, coasting.

Try this out, if it works you will experience the thrill of drifting along the highway with the engine loafing.

If it doesn't work, come back here and describe what it does do. there are several things that can go wrong, not that they all will, but it could be as little as a blown fuse or as much as a ruined OD unit.

    Hope this helps.
