On 28 January 2010 Patsy "Pat" Ruth (Benson) Oliver was on her way home to California from Texarkana, Arkansas from visiting with her sister Virginia "Ginger" Smith. In Dallas, Texas while switching planes she had collapsed and was rushed to the ER at Baylor Hospital where she was pronounced dead at 3:55 PM due to Hypertensive Heart Disease (which we were all unaware of). Her youngest daughter-Paula Rae Oliver and husband-Armando Morales were not made aware due to being on a cruise to Ensenada, Mexico for their 5 year anniversary. The next morning when the ship made port at about 5am they had received the news and proceeded to be with her father-Bill Olivers' home in Torrance, CA. The Family decided on Cremation and for her remains to be buried in Eagletown, Oklahoma to be with her Parents Vernon and Audrey Bell Benson, and niece Stephanie Nichols and her other family members in the Spring. A memorial will also take place at the home of her youngest daughter and son-in-law; Paula Oliver & Armando Morales in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA in February.
Her untimely death has come as such a shock to us all. She was truly a wonderful wife, mother, sister, and friend. We all love her and miss her so much!!! May her beautiful spirit will live with all of us forever!!!

Thank you all for all of your kinds words, condolences, cards, calls and thoughtful inquiries and posts as to the passing of my lovely mother in law-Pat Oliver.
Being a member and part of the Studebaker community for over 30 years with her husband, Bill Oliver, Pat had come to know many of you fondly and truly enjoyed her time with all of you.
We, in the family are all very sad and do appreciate all of your love and support at this time.

There will be a memorial on February 27, 2010 in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA from 2pm to 7pm and we would like to extend her Studebaker Family to come and bring any photos or stories or memories to share of Pat.
