  • I own a somewhat rare "55

I was reading a back issue of Turning Wheels last night that covered 1955 model year Studes and was kind of amazed to find that there were only 189 Commander Regal coupes like mine made----in Hamilton that is

I guess I own a rare car after all lol

    Whodda thunk it?!

Oh- and since this life long Artist's color sense was called into question about this-- the article also states that late in the model year- the engine color on all cars was changed from Alberta Blue- to the same Turquoise that was used on 56 and 57 year car engines

There is a rancher just north of me that has a 1955 3/4 ton stake bed and it has a Turquoise motor and I don't see any signs of repainting. It had 40,000 miles on it when he got it.

Turquoise is correct for late '55 engine color.

"Bert", my 1955 two toned green Commander Starlight was also made in Hamilton.

1955s are the best - better brakes, wiring, motors and faster due to the stainless swish down the side!

Too funny. Bert? That's the Fred K. Fox article and the 55 2-tone Blue coupe on the TW cover. Sweet.
