  • odd part

    I`ve been cleaning up my garage a bit so i have more room too work on my stude....Just wondering if any of you-all know what make or year Studebaker this may have come off of.....
    May hang it on the wall or something.....I think its a running board foot wiping thing.....thanks andrew..

    Don't know what year it is but I believe it is a step plate for a running board from the 20's. It will make a very nice desplay for your wall.

        You're half right, Gary. It's a 1920's kick plate. They went on the splash apron, not the running board.

          The motor- trans- and rearend are completely stock . Straight out of there donor cars from way back ..( except 50s air cleaner added)...
          But need some tuning from sitting ..I think the carb needs rebuilding for example..(dryed out).....I wish i had a large work shop too give it the attention it really needs...

            Large work shop? Naaaa just big ole oak tree , that how i started.Of course it helps if its 70 degrees not 20.

                  What is the material? It looks in very good condition to be die cast or pot metal. Wrong color for brass. Hmmmm

                    I`ll have too look at it again ..Its out in the garage and its COLD outside...Pretty sure its not brass and does have more wear then shown in picture............andrew ..
