Awesome photo again! Thank you for shraring this one as well.

I tried to count the cars in the photo and I came to the conclusion that what you can see it is not even their one day production volume in 1950.[8D]

Identified with just wax stick on the windows. No bar codes, no computer print outs, nothing. How things have changed.

1950 was their best year, so i bet they had a big storage problem, wonder how many storage lots thay had in South Bend?

Appears this photo was taken in the tranporters lot. Notice the four car configuration? "A load for a banana wagon". Note the Checker Cab on the trailer in the back ground.

The board on the fence contained the row number. This number was marked on the shipping document to aid the driver in identifying his load.

Looks like they shipped the convertibles with a protective cover even way back then

I only see about 4 Commanders. I guess there were plenty of CASO's even back then.

It appears that Studebaker was preparing for war with all those 'bullets' in their arsenal. [8D] [B)]

This must have been early in the model year since they all have body color headlight doors/rims.

Richard, you've done it again. One of my favorite Studes is right in the front, a StarLight Coupe.
                              Many thanks.
