  • Chris' other Eye Candy 1/23 '53/'51/N... Prototype

Not too sure about the story behind this sketch. It appears to have a '51 type bullet nose, '53 body, and N like rear. *Compare to my signature photo of the N...
*Stay tuned, I have some other "Odd cars" that are prototypes I plan on useing later this week.[]

I am not sure about the bullet nose on this car, but the rest is indeed attractive. There is something Mercedesish about the roof line.
      Very interesting.

Yeah, I'm also not so sure about a bullet nose on a '53, but that's also why I am leaning toward it is another "lost" model N proposal. The one I am going for also has/had (will have again) a bullet nose. Another give away for me is how the driver side window drops down like that. The N starlight version did the exact same thing.

These appear to be early styling studies for the 1953 Starliner. Bob Bourke wanted the door and glass to go to the C pilar, like second series Camaros and Firebirds. He had to shorten the doors and add quarter windows. There was a clay model similar to this drawing. The clay model had two different sides, as most did. The car looks lie Bourke's side and the tail lights appear to be Koto's.

Gary, the N eventually turned into the '53. It had the same frame.

I like the sleeker bodys with the bullet nose fronts, kinda looks a little more 'Tucker-esque'. Very interesting.
