  • Bob Palma in for surgery- now out, he's fine!

Not sure he'd want me to post this, but our good friend Bob Palma goes in this morning for surgery to rerpair a hernia. Piece-o-cake after all he's been through, but it is still surgery. Say a prayer for him and let's send him our positive energy. Get well soon Bob!! EDIT FOR UPDATE BELOW

That'll slow him down for a few weeks. Hope all goes well and he feels 20 years younger.

        Speedy recovery Bob [8D]

Please stop lifting those heavy Stude Racing parts. Use a winch.

            Good luck Bob

I had two of those done about five years ago. I was prepared for a long down time as I had a friend have hernia surgery ten years prior to that and was off work for 10 weeks.

Surgeon said outpatient surgery, home the same day, day or two to let the discomfort subside and back to life as usual in two weeks including golf.

            Durned if he wasn't right.

Medical science just keeps getting better.

Amen. Wife is having partial knee replacement on both legs, and doc is saying one week on walker, one week on cain than out the door. No problem with stairs. I might go have it done, for the improved mobility!

Same situation here as Sweetolbob, the surgery was so easy, I told my Dr. I was recommending that everyone have it whether they need it or not! Ha !! It is so much better than just 5 years ago, HOWEVER- it is still surgery, all the best Mr. Palma, just be patient and plan well before lifting. John

Best of luck, BP. So much for being your own cherry picker.

When I had my hernia surgery...I told the Doctor, "I'm all Man"...which means..."Put me to sleep and don't wake me until I'm Well!" ...everything went just fine, 'cept they woke me up too soon!

Bob, you are in our prayers. Hope you are up and around asap!
