  • Anyone Wanting an 63 R2 Avanti

I will no longer have needed garage space, as my neighbor passed away, and I will be looking to sell my Avanti.

If anyone has interest, please send me an e-mail.

      Bump.

Ok, it now appears that I can easily get my asking price by parting the car out.

So, this is the last opportunity for any of you want-to-be Avanti owner's to submit a reasonable offer. After that the car is heading to the open market or maybe getting ripped apart for $$. My preference is to have it go to a good home.

It will be interesting to see how this car does parted out (I'm assuming this is a decent drivable car) compared to the 'parts cars' that have been shot in the head lately.

Obviously an Avanti is at the top of the food chain as far as parted out value. What would be next? GT Hawks or maybe '53/'54 K bodies?

It's a bit early to be talking about parting out decent drivers is it not ? I've never done that, and hope never have to. Just because no one on the forum is in the market for a particular car does not meant it won't find a owner on ebay or elsewhere.

Well.....it wasn't me that brought it up -- it was the OWNER![:0]

My Daytona body would look really good on that drive train!

I don't even recall a asking price or much info.

If your selling the car, maybe you can tell us a bit about it, shape and all, plus a asking price.

                          I would guess Martinez CA.

There are not as many people that can afford to purchase a nice collector car as there were two or more years ago. The economy is shot, I got layed off from my job of 10 years last April as did many other people and therefor we can't afford to make such a purchase. Many people can't even afford to make their house payment and can't afford health insurance because of unemployment. If times were good, there would be many prospective buyers looking for such a car including myself.
