  • A good Studebaker day, again.

Well, made it back home from a 2-week vacation in Nicaragua. Beautiful country with very friendly people, and a huge litter problem.

Managed to avoid nearly 2 weeks of very cold nasty weather back at home, arriving home on the second day of a chinook, and snow melting like mad. Calgary was 4 degrees warmer than Dallas!

Today, I shoveled away some old snow, and got the '64 Daytona hardtop, and '63 Avanti both fired up, and moved few yards, to help thaw the remaining ice on the driveway. Then I went into the shop, and put a good king pin and spindle into the '60 Lark. I have pretty well everything in place on that corner except the brake drum. It remains to be seen if the seriously bad camber problem that I blamed on the bent spindle has gone away, but I should be able to finish it tomorrow and find out.

Had a fine trip, but it's good to be back, especially when fine weather's on the menu.
