All would be kosher if the seller could factually add the words in parentheses:

    A 1962 GT Hawk

    with a "One Off" (shop/dealer-installed)

(1964) factory R-3 special high performance engine and 4- speed.

It becomes a problem of actionable mis-representation because the seller is telling buyers it is a factory R3; but obviously it is a mash of assembled components. As another member pointed out, the add-on oil filter indicates it is not even a full-flow block and it has the lo-po painted rocker covers.

    caveat emptor

That is rare, a Avanti R3 blower setup on a otherwise stock 62 V8, built a year before the R3 was available.

I'd like to know the engine number on that one. If it's a '62 engine, it looks like an early '62, anyway. Anyone know of this car?

I don't know how they can call it a "mint car". I guess that they either don't know the meaning of mint or choose to misuse the word. Also, it shouldn't be "really mint". Either it is or it isn't (mint).

The car appears to be a non-US version of a 1962 Hawk. Wasn't there someone on this Forum with a black '62 Canadian Hawk that I believe lived in Florida?

It is a very nice looking car, and appears to be well done. As for the description, a buyer at auction would do well to heed "Caveat Emptor".

That wagon has been on eBay several times. It's real nice, but too rich for my blood.
