What colors were 61 Lark 170's painted?

  • #2
It's a silver/grey color on the block and head, the valve covers were 'red' more of a red-orange color really. I have a 1961 OHV-6 that has been setting in a crate for years, getting ready to unpack it and install it this spring.

Then, if its the same as a V8, the fan is black, the fan pulley is black, and the pulley spacer is bare aluminum. Then the generator is black, and the aircleaner is black. Then if you are like me, things get changed,LOL!!

Actually, the only reason some look Silver-Grey is from age and heat.
They were originally ordinary Aluminum Silver engine enamel.
