  • Replacement starter for lark

I am looking for a replacement starter for my 61 lark. Any one have any suggestions on makes and sizes that will match up to replace my old one?

Any 12V Studebaker V-8 starter that will fit a car with the same transmission as yours. (stickshift and automatic starters have a different "nose.") Given the choice, I'd probably look for a 56-61 Delco starter.

I actually have a '61 Delco starter on my '55 with a 4-speed, if you're a "numbers matching" kind of guy, but I'd obviously want something in trade so I can still start my car

Can't your local auto electric shop fix the old one?

      Way more CASO!

every true CASO should have two starters that fit their car, that way when one craps out you rebuild it after you swap in the other one

If you have a V8, check with Phil at http://www.fairbornstudebaker.com/
He has a Hi Torque starter for V8s.
Other than a starter made for a Studebaker engine none will fit.
