I don't remember seeing it before. Nice picture.

Are the buzzards circling the car or the photographer?

You know, I'll see those large gliding shadows of a bird when I'm working on the '55 which is the predecessor to the 56-64 C/K's and I'll think "Ooh, Chicken Hawks(or possibly Turkey Buzzard), its a good omen!! [:o)]".

Really quite an amusing story behind this picture. Apparently the car ran over the photographer and this was the last photo taken by him. By the time authorities arrived at the scene, the car was hiding behind some bushes receiving a payoff from the buzzards. After a fair & speedy trial by the local judiciary system, the Studebaker was sentenced to death by lethal injection of corrosive salt and the buzzards became jail birds.

Nice photograph! The lighting, angle, sky color, and circling birds really make the picture.

The droopy left eyelid belongs to a 1954-55 Willys Aero. Looks like they fit the Stude body pretty well.:) LH
