I know that the spare tire in a 1963 Lark is suppossed to bolt to a stantion (I have no idea what the actual name is for the metal mount) attached to a plate that is welded to the trunk floor, however the one in my trunk is missing and the tire bounces merrily all over (wghich is not a good thing) when I drive.
1) What is the proper name for the part that the tire bolts to -and-
2) how is that part attached to the plate? Is it bolted, welded?
