I just came across The SuperCar Registry website and saw few Studebakers. There is 1951 Commander carrying pretty girls. Unfortunately, it has no captions to tell where or when it was taken. Maybe Oklahoma or Texas?? Enjoy it!

Great website/photos!! BTW; the picture of the '51 Commander carrying the girls is from Toppenish, Wa., about 20 miles from Yakima (where I'm at). I suspect that photo was from a parade either in Toppenish or nearby Wapato.

That parade was in Toppenish, WA, a town on the eastern edge of the huge Yakima Indian Reservation in central Washington State. They're still doing the Rodeo and Pow-wow every year. Can only assume the Commander convertible was supplied by a local Stude dealer. Not sure there was one in Toppenish, it may have come from nearby Yakima, WA.

Thanks for the pictures.

I went to the old McDonald's near Chicago in 1991.

Our local Dairy Queen displays old pictures of some of the original DQs around the country. In one of the pictures there is a 1950 Studebaker 2 door sedan shown. Does anyone else have a DQ with this picture?

Anybody else spot that 58 Provincial amongst the curb-parked cars on that hillside?[8D]

HAH! Yeah Ray, that really jumped out at me.

I noticed that. For some reason, I thought someone on the forum had one that exact color scheme.

That looks like a Pittsburgh Streetcar. The Packard Wagon and the Buick behind it appear to have PA license plates. Brick streets were common in that era.

There is another pic in that group which also has a Pittsburgh Streetcar and a white Lark in traffic. The mast head on the street car looks like 27 FineVue (though I'm not sure the spelling is correct)which is a section of Pgh.
Maybe someone else can identify the streets.

There are at least two Dairy Queens in the Minneapolis suburbs that have that picture.
