power steering fluid

I just read tha tI should have put transmission fluid in my power steering canister. I put regular power steering fluid. Is this going to hurt it?

The use of modern power steering fluid in Studebakers shouldn't cause a problem. I've used it in my cars with no problem. The Stude shop manual says to use type A atf and that hasn't been available in decades. Bud
