Yes it is a MAACO paint job but not for $500 or 600. Total job after I stripped the car was about $4400. Lots of extra sanding to get the paint leveled out. Car only had rust under the fender vents no other rust or major dents.

Great Color and paint job. We have a guy who runs the local Maaco Paint store near me who has had several of his cars with 3-4000 dollar paint jobs win awards against cars which had 10-12000 dollar paint jobs. You can't always judge a book by its cover. And, no, I don't have a vested interest in Maaco. The guy who runs the local store here just takes great pride in giving great paint jobs at a decent price. Who'da thunk it?

It sure looks good from this angle.[]

It looks like you got a very nice paint job at a reasonable price.

                      Nicely done.

By the way, the color combo looks great.

Yes the MAACO manager here does good work when ask but most want a quick cheap paint job and that's what they get. Like is said earlier they did lot more blocking and prep, than their cheaper paint jobs. This one looks better out in natural light.

Maaco lost me as a customer way back in 1984. I took my 1969 El Camino to them. First car that I ever had painted. Paid extra for prep I took all of the Chrome off myself. Picked a fantastic Blue paid extra for the door jambs Glove box etc. Oh I paid them to reinstall the Chrome. Zoltoned the bed also. Got the car back they didn't do any of the body work no door jambs they did paint the glove box along with the inside of the car over spray on everything. Didn't do the bed either. I agreed to have them fix their mistakes see I had a signed contract stating just what they were supposed to do. Took the car back they did the body work they repainted the car wrong color. They didn't bother to remove the chrome painted right over it. Needless to say I was going to take them to small claims court to recover my money. No way were they going to get a chance to make things worse. I got my refund and they closed down. I say good riddance. Years later a new Maaco opens in the north end of town. I'm glad that you had a good experience just thought that I would share mine.

Too bad about that bad job. I check this one out before taking my car there. Lots of good feed back, not much negative. Talked to the manager and the owner got good responses and what seemed like a fair price. Other body shops in the area were at least twice the price. But you have to have good feeling no matter where you get paint work done. I went in not thinking My car would turn out this good, maybe I'm just lucky.
