  • 1963 vs 64 diff. in parking light bezel

    I am looking at the parts book and see that there is a difference in part number for 1963 vs. 1964 GT Hawk parking light chrome bazel. They look the same. What is the difference? Anyone advise on this matter?

    The early 63 bezels were stainless & flat the lens was a different diameter .The later 63-4 bezels were made of pot metal stuck out further & chromed.& were the same for latter 63's and all 64 GT's.They shared the same lens size but some were amber & others clear depending on where the car was shipped to.

      The later rims were "miniature" headlight bezels if you will. They had the fluted design on the inside leading edge, and protruded beyond the surface of the lens.

        The difference in park light lenses in GTs was not because of where they were shipped but rather:
        1963 front park light lens was amber with a clear bulb;
        1964 front park light lens was clear with an amber bulb.
