  • MISSING CHROME ?

I was looking at the site with the old car adds and noticed that most of the 4 door cars has a chrome strip that ran down along the bottom of the car on the rocker panel....I dont have that on my 50 commander...should I ?

Is your car a four door?
Mbstude should have a set of those all shined up before to long.
They are my extra ones that I want to let him practice on but they are for a two door, He said they will fit a 49-52 two door.

Cant say for sure but I rather doubt it, The clips that hold it on should be visible or at least where they were,
There is five or six down each side.

I have a set of these mouldings - used, but useable.

            1957 Transtar 1/2ton
            1963 Cruiser
            1960 Larkvertible V8
            1958 Provincial wagon
            1953 Commander coupe
            1957 President two door

No deceptive flags to prove I'm patriotic - no biblical BS to impress - just ME and Studebakers - as it should be.

In looking over the car vs the body book and I can see several pieces of chrome are missing...the hood emblem...the fender spears...and the rocker mouldings...i dont believe I will replace them as this is a going to be driver for me, not a show car...thanks to all for the offers...John

                http://forum.studebakerdriversclub.c...inless,molding,

Again, Classic Enterprises says they'll offer these in the future. Hmm.
