  • My wagon was on national TV!

Last night's episode of "Chasing Classic Cars" had footage from April taken at F40 Motorsports in Portland CT. They hosted an event called Cars and Coffee. My Clipper wagon made it into a couple of shots! I even got my mug in there for a split second!

I saw your car and thought..."there's a Studebaker".
No many around F40 I'd suspect.
I envy you being there, looks like they have quite the selection.

I'm considering buying a vehicle from them...and would try to get a ride in their Daytona (a Ferrari...not a Studebaker, sorry) as part of the deal...and maybe a test drive in a garden variety 308.

                  One of my favorite shows.
Was that when they wanted to put an ejection seat in a car and looked at an Avanti?

I believe it was black and white, right? The Packard fins are hard to miss. Wish we could see more pics.

Yes the was the one they were looking for a running Avanti to use, but the $5,000.00 I wanted for the R-1 I had didn't fit their pocket book...Bob

Chip this is great to hear. With the attention you might be getting with this car, you might be getting a phone call to inquire on that emblem. Someone has been bugging the heck out of me, but I do not have anymore 57's and am not willing to sell a 58 at this time. The guy on the phone said he bought an almost perfect 57 painted in lilac at an auction recently and needs an emblem. FYI

I wonder if he bought the '57 Heaven wagon. It went for $47,500, and is about the same as mine.
